MESL partners Wessex Archaeology Consortium in prestigious Dissemination Project
MESL are pleased to announce that they are part of a consortium (led by Wessex Archaeology) which has been awarded the prestigious REC Dissemination project by the MALSF. The REC Dissemination project will deliver the MALSF's key messages through a Community Programme and an Education Programme supported by a dynamic, content-rich Web Portal. MESL will be involved in six REC Roadshows hosted by Sea Life Centres in each of the four REC regions. Numerous shorter events will extend the overall impact, bolstering existing networks to ensure a durable legacy for the REC programme. Wessex Archaeology and MESL are fundamentally committed to making marine environmental science accessible to the general public whilst maintaining its technical integrity. The scientific results of the RECs will be presented in the context of sustainable marine management, engaging the public in informed debate about how we should best live in harmony with the sea and its resources, both now and in the future.
"This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in a prestigious and worthwhile project that will give MESL a high profile in the ecological world and give us the chance to further show the versatility and extent of our knowledge base and expertise" explained Dr Seiderer, MD of MESL.
