MES have recently provided advice to Narec on the development of a plan for an experimental windfarm which has been proposed for construction near Blyth, Northumbria. Narec are a cutting-edge renewables research organisation who are dedicated to accelerating the deployment and grid integration** of renewable energy*** *and low carbon generation technologies**, utilising wind, wave, tidal, solar PV and thermal power. MES were engaged with the task of advising the developers on the strategic development of the Environmental Impact Assessment which will be required in order for this project to receive licensing, consent and approval. This exciting project remains in its preliminary stages however, MES are keen to maintain our involvement as the plans develop and the EIA process unfolds. MES worked closely with SKM Consulting and our sister company SETECH on this project.
