MES continue their expansion plans
Following MES’s expansion into the offices adjacent to their established Bath premises, they continue to expand their research department alongside their commercial interests through an increase in staffing levels and capabilities.
The MES team recently welcomed Dr Jacqueline Hill, recently of the Natural History Museum, Kingston University & Queen Mary, University of London. In addition to her experience in marine benthic ecosystem ecology, she holds a 1st class honours degree in Business Studies. Jackie brings a wealth of experience to the team and will provide support to MES’s research wing under the directorship of Bryony Pearce. Jackie offers a strong combination of laboratory and field experience together with commercial awareness and excellent report writing skills. This will consolidate MES’s already strong research department.
Caroline Chambers, formerly of Entec Ltd, has recently joined the team on a part time basis. Her multi sectoral skills and experience will be deployed within both the research and commercial sections of MES. She is currently leading in the use of our new 4 dimensional software "Eonfusion" in order to best represent geospatial and temporal data.
Dr Sara Marzialetti, currently of ISPRA (Institute for Environmental Protection and Research), Rome, will be joining us in January 2010. Her research interests include taxonomy and disturbance ecology and she will be augmenting the research and commercial teams within MES. She has in depth experience in the setting up of Italian MPA equivalents and will therefore provide a valuable insight into our MPA research.
Dan Brutto (MSc) joins the commercial projects team which is led by Muffy Seiderer. Dan joined MES a year ago following 3 years with CCW where he gained extensive experience in matters relating to environmental legislation, regulatory processes and public consultations. Dan’s appointment has helped to extend MES’s commercial capacity, working closely with their clients to ensure that they are fully satisfied with their services.
“We are pleased to welcome these additional scientists who will work within our existing team in maintaining our high levels of research and experience. It is so important during this exciting stage of our expansion that we not only maintain but raise the high standards of work and reporting which we have been offering our clients over the past 30 years. Having recently added a number of junior staff to our team to complement more senior appointments, we are able to offer an extensive range of services to current and prospective clients. We foresee a further upturn in business and demand and we are working pro-actively to ensure that we are fully able to meet all unforeseen demands.” says MES’s Managing Director, Dr Lindsay Jane Seiderer.
