A great deal of MESL’s marine survey work is related to Environmental Impact Assessments and biological monitoring programmes for the marine energy sector, the marine aggregates industry and port developments. Our client list in the private sector includes prestigious companies such as Hanson, Tarmac, CEMEX, DP World, NPower, EDF Energy and highly respected consultancies such as Royal Haskoning and Halcrow.

Public Sector

MESL also undertake primary research projects for and with government agencies such as Defra, Cefas, the Crown Estate, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, the JNCC and  Natural England. Our involvement in academic projects allows us to remain at the cutting edge of the consultancy sector and provides us with the opportunity to deepen our understanding of man’s interactions with the environment.  This involvement  also ensures that we are first to develop new ideas and apply novel solutions to practical and technical problems relating to our area of expertise.
